Growth through Adventure
and Good Citizenship
Rooted in the Pacific Northwest. Scattered across the globe. Drawn back together by shared values and a restless love of the world.
We climb. We build. We serve. We are most alive at the edge of comfort — in altitude, in culture, in ideas.
Adventure is not a vacation. It is a practice. And joy — the kind that comes from doing hard things — is the whole point.
Not rules. Not a manifesto.
Five words we return to when life asks what matters.
We value laughing, playing, being a kid, and generally being joyful.
We value people and relationships. We foster love and connection. We act in a manner that is loving toward all.
With joy and love comes happiness. We are willing to suffer and do the hard things if the long-term payoff is happiness. Happiness isn't money or a travel checklist — it's adventure + joy + love. We believe in delaying gratification, but understand that we can't put off happiness.
We believe we should give more than we take. Humanity must find balance with nature. All life is precious. We are lucky to have been born American and privileged — and we have an obligation to use that privilege to help others and the environment.
We value new, different, novel, and hard. We like taking calculated risks. We love nature. We are active. We play games. We live a healthy lifestyle so we can easily adventure when we make the opportunity.
Growth happens in lecture halls, in dog-eared books, in podcast rabbit holes, and in conversations with machines that think. The classroom never closes.
From Midwest roots to Silicon Valley to international classrooms on three continents. Formal education as a foundation — never a ceiling.
Reading widely and listening deeply — across history, science, philosophy, and business. The best ideas don't wait for a syllabus.
Artificial intelligence is the defining technology of our era. We engage with it early, critically, and with curiosity — as a tool, a collaborator, and a subject worthy of study.
